Goffs Oak is EN7, up on the higher ground west of Cheshunt, and it is a different sort of job from the rest of the borough. Detached houses and bungalows on big plots, along lanes rather than streets. Prices do not change out here. A three bedroom move-out clean is £339, a living room carpet £43, a 90cm range £143.

More range cookers than anywhere else we go
Kitchens out here are bigger. A fair number have a 90cm range. That is £143 and the best part of three hours, because a range has more shelf runners than an ordinary oven, usually a second smaller cavity, and nearly always a griddle plate that has been ignored since the day it was bought. The racks and griddle plate soak while the cavity and glass get done by hand at the house.
Long plots mean a long carry
On a bungalow set back behind a turning circle, it is a long walk with the carpet kit from the road to the back bedroom, so EN7 jobs get a little extra time in the diary. A side gate we can use saves fifteen minutes at each end of the visit, and it is worth mentioning when you book. Small thing. It adds up across a whole house.
Why the hours go up on a big house
A five bedroom detached place takes longer than the arithmetic suggests. There are more bathrooms and a great deal more glass, and a weekly clean that runs to three hours in a semi at Rosedale is closer to five out here. Regular work is priced by the hour for that reason, so nobody ends up paying a flat rate that was set for a different size of house.
What actually gets booked out here
Less move-out work than in town, since most of these houses are owner-occupied and change hands slowly. What we do get is the one off deep clean, generally before Christmas or after building work, and carpet cleaning in sitting rooms that have not been touched since the last decorator was in. November and December are the busiest run of the year on this end of the round, so two or three weeks notice is sensible for a pre-Christmas booking.
Where EN7 sits on the round
From Goffs Oak we are out towards Cuffley and the M25 on one side and north to Wormley on the other. Monster Cleaning Cheshunt charges the same rates on both, with no mileage and no surcharge for the lanes. The price list has every figure and the fixed move-out prices are on their own page.

Is there a surcharge for coming out to Goffs Oak?
No. EN7 is inside our normal patch and the price list is identical to Cheshunt. In winter we like to book EN7 work in daylight.
Can you clean a range cooker?
Yes. A 90cm range cooker is £143 and takes about three hours, with the racks, runners and griddle plate soaking while the cavities are done by hand.
Do you reach the houses on the unmade lanes?
Yes, in a normal transit van, and for a tight or gravelled drive we can send the smaller one.
How much notice do you need for a deep clean before Christmas?
Two to three weeks through November and December, which is the busiest run of the year out here. A deep clean starts at £186 for two cleaners over three hours, and a large detached house is realistically a four or five hour team booking.
